BASIC PURPOSE
Hours: Up to 25 per week
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Montgomery County Community College's Center for Workforce Development is seeking Non-Credit Trainers for Medical Billing.
Trainers must have experience in, and should be able to teach, the following topics:
- Billing Methodology
- Medical Billing Software
- CPT-4 Coding Guidelines
- HCPCS Coding Guidelines
- ICD10 CM Coding Guidelines
- Medical Terminology
- Regulatory Issues
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Qualifications:
- At least three years' experience as a biller or coder. Industry certification for coding or billing is a requirement.
- Associate's degree is required, a bachelor's degree is preferred.
The Medical Billing Specialist Certificate Program has three co-teachers. Individuals with no prior teaching experience are encouraged to apply as existing instructors will provide guidance to inexperienced trainers.
Teaching assignments may be at the College's Blue Bell, Pottstown, Lansdale, Conshohocken, Virtual Campus and/or offsite locations.
