Description & Requirements
Bloomberg Media is seeking an experienced broadcast reporter to join its 24/7 global news network based out of our New York City headquarters. The broadcast reporter will focus on markets and contribute to our coverage with reporting and hosting via Bloomberg News and TV/Radio/Podcasts.
Candidates should have extensive experience in visual and audio storytelling, knowledge of and experience in markets and business, including strong sourcing on the global Wall Street and a strong on-air presence and delivery. This reporter must have experience anchoring shows and thrive under pressure, be a self-starter and take a team-oriented approach. This position requires flexible hours to accommodate business needs.
Our broadcast reporter will break and report stories for Bloomberg News and contribute to our live programs throughout the day on Bloomberg Television and Radio. Candidates should have the willingness to work with colleagues in New York and across the globe to cover stories with one voice to best serve multiple platforms.
We'll trust you to:
  • Make excellent broadcast contributions to programs on Bloomberg Television and other platforms
  • Elevate the newsgathering and storytelling efforts of our news, audio and video programs
  • Work with newsroom resources across the globe to deliver well-told, balanced markets/economics/business stories to Bloomberg
  • Build strong internal communication skills to help with news planning strategies, production elements and guest booking statuses to magnify story telling with one balanced voice

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of mid-major market TV/radio reporting experience showing strong on-air presentation skills
  • Strong markets and business news judgment
  • Exhibited on-air ability in hosting roles

We'd love to see:
  • A passion for markets, business and visual storytelling

Salary Range = 120,000 - 140,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
