Bloomberg News is hiring a reporter to cover the rapidly evolving prediction markets industry. This role can be based in New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles.
We're looking for a scoops-oriented journalist who can break news on the companies, investors, products, and regulatory developments shaping the sector, while chronicling its emergence as a new corner of Wall Street. The role combines corporate reporting, market structure, and enterprise journalism, expanding on a beat that has quickly become a newsroom priority.
Coverage will include breaking news and fast-moving scoops, while also looking beyond daily developments to explain the mechanics and incentives behind these market. We'll examine what their growth means for markets, the financial industry, sports and entertainment -- and retail speculation that blurs the lines between investing and gambling. The beat sits within Bloomberg's coverage of digital assets, markets, regulation, and finance, offering the opportunity to collaborate across teams covering everything from Washington and Wall Street to digital technology and global markets.

Salary Range = 90,000 - 120,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
