Job description

OVERVIEW:

Job Title: Blaster Painter
Schedule: Monday – Friday (weekends as needed)
Location: Fabrication Yard, Houma, LA


PES Expectations:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational knowledge of and understanding basic functions of blasting & painting equipment
Mix paint; clean paint pots and spray guns
Provide quality control measures helping blaster/painters avoid, and/or repair sags, runs, holidays and overspray
Protect project equipment and components (cover, mask and etc.)
Control correct millage of paint being applied
Choose correct rigging by load weight
Assume a safe position during lifting operations and be aware of the position of others
Complete daily visual inspections and minor maintenance to ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
Participate in daily JSEA planning discussion
Proper PPE selection and usage
Conduct behavioral based safety observations
Understands and uses Stop Work Authority

QUALIFICATIONS:

3 or more years of prior blaster/painter experience
Possesses adequate reading, writing and communication skills
Experience using safe work habits
Candidates will be required to pass:
Written Blaster/Painter assessment
Hands-on paint test
