Central Stone is currently filling the Painter/General Laborer position at our Hannibal, MO location. This is a great opportunity to join a stable and well-respected company, with the ability to grow your skills and help contribute to the building of your community. This position's main function will be that of a painter (media blasting and painting of structural steel), but depending on the work load, you'll spend time assisting with general duties such as forklift operations and fabrication of assorted items. This is a daytime position, generally working Monday through Friday, but some Saturdays may be required from time to time.

Painter/Laborer Candidate Requirements:

  • Painting experience preferred, but not required (we will train)

Our ideal candidate would possess two years of verifiable experience in media blasting and paint of structural steel. A good working knowledge of media blasting and commercial procedures is helpful, but we will train the right individual.
Painter/Laborer Major Responsibilities:
  • Following all safety and environmental rules, regulations, and procedures as set forth by company policies and OSHA
  • Operating and monitoring all equipment and production areas safely and efficiently
  • Media blasting, priming, and top coat painting of steel pieces
  • Assembly of the completed and painted items, as needed
  • Communicating with shop management and team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
