Job description

Please note: this role is at Couple.com. Lawyer.com is a major stakeholder in Couple.com.
Couple.com is hiring a User Acquisition & Sales Lead to grow our Thursday night online singles events into the biggest show in dating.
Are you the person who fills the guest list, hosts the party, and knows where everyone's going on a Friday night? We are looking for a creative, resourceful operator who knows how to get people in the door - someone who builds partnerships, works a room, and turns conversations into signups. You will own one number: attendance at our weekly online singles events.
Your Mission
You will be the engine that fills our weekly online singles events. Every Thursday at 7:30pm ET, Couple.com hosts real-time, AI-native online singles parties - and your job is to make sure those rooms are full, fun, and growing.
You will not be handed a playbook, because the playbook does not exist yet. You will invent it. You will partner with organizers of communities where singles already gather. You will show up at IRL mixers and meetups to recruit attendees face-to-face. You will slide into comment sections and DMs with something better than spam. And you will bring ideas we have not thought of yet.
This role reports directly to the CEO. You will own a number, move quickly, and have the latitude to test, break, and rebuild your own approach as often as it takes.
Key Responsibilities
  • User Acquisition: Drive attendance to Couple.com's weekly online singles events through a mix of partnerships, outbound sales, community engagement, and creative campaigns.
  • Partnerships: Build relationships with organizers of singles groups, meetups, communities, and adjacent events to funnel their members into Couple.com.
  • Field Sales & Recruiting: Attend singles events, mixers, and gatherings - sometimes on nights and weekends - to recruit attendees and grow your network.
  • Social Engagement: Be active in comments, DMs, and online communities where singles spend their time, turning conversations into signups.
  • Rapid Iteration: Test new acquisition channels constantly. Kill what is not working, double down on what is.
  • Retention Focus: Acquire the right users - the ones who come back. Use repeat attendance as your signal for quality.
  • Reporting & Accountability: Own your numbers. Attendance growth, cost per attendee, and retention are your core KPIs.

Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
  • A creative, resourceful, go-getter mindset. You do not wait for permission, and you do not wait for a budget.
  • A strong personal network is a major plus - whether that is in the singles/dating space, events, nightlife, creator economy, or community building.
  • Previous experience in sales, partnerships, community management, event production, influencer marketing, nightlife/promoting, or growth marketing is a plus, but not required. Attitude and track record of getting things done matter more than the titles on your resume.
  • Excellent communicator - in DMs, in person, on the phone, on stage if it comes to that.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to build the plane while flying it.
  • Willing to work some evenings and weekends as the job demands - attending events and being where the singles are.
  • Based in the US or Canada. This role is fully remote.
  • This is a contract role with a clear path to a full-time position.
About Us
Couple.com is an AI-native dating startup reinventing how singles actually meet. We have ditched the endless swipe-and-ghost grind in favor of live, online singles parties powered by our AI Matchmaker and AI Wingman - real-time experiences where singles show up, connect, and actually hit it off. Dating has been broken for a decade. We are the ones finally fixing it.
We are proudly backed by World Media Group, an established leader with a track record of building successful companies in various domains, such as Lawyer.com, Doctor.com, and India.com. World Media Group was an early investor in bitcoin, co-founded Sweet.io in the NFT market, and actively partners with Scientist.com and Outerspace.com.
Couple.com offers numerous opportunities for career growth and an environment that fosters innovation. We are not iterating on dating apps. We are replacing them.
Ready to own the number that matters most? Apply now, and let's fill the room.
Benefits
  • Compensation: A combination of guaranteed pay and performance-based commission. You are rewarded for the results you put on the board.
  • Expenses covered: Approved job-related expenses - event tickets, travel to meetups, and the real-world costs of recruiting in the field - are on us.
  • Path to full-time: This contract role is built to grow into a full-time position as you prove the model.
  • Fully remote: Work from anywhere in the US or Canada.
  • Flexible hours: You set the schedule the job demands.
  • Direct access to the CEO: You report to the CEO and have a seat at the table on strategy, not just execution.
  • Ground-floor role: Join an AI-native startup backed by an established holding company with a track record of building real businesses.
  • Real autonomy: There is no playbook yet - you write it. If you can make it work, you can try it.
