Bitcoin Professional information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Bitcoin Professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Bitcoin Professional, you need a solid understanding of blockchain technology, digital currencies, and financial regulations, often supported by relevant degrees or certifications like Certified Bitcoin Professional (CBP). Familiarity with crypto wallets, trading platforms, security protocols, and blockchain analysis tools is essential. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills set top performers apart in this field. These competencies are crucial for navigating the fast-evolving cryptocurrency landscape and ensuring secure, compliant transactions and strategies.

How do Bitcoin Professionals typically collaborate with other departments within a financial organization?

Bitcoin Professionals often work closely with compliance, IT, and risk management teams to ensure that cryptocurrency transactions align with regulatory standards and organizational policies. They may also partner with customer service to address client inquiries related to Bitcoin products, and with marketing to develop educational materials for clients. Effective communication and cross-functional teamwork are essential, as the role often requires translating complex technical concepts for non-technical colleagues. This collaborative environment helps ensure smooth integration of Bitcoin-related services within the broader financial organization.

What are Bitcoin Professionals?

Bitcoin Professionals are individuals with specialized knowledge and expertise in Bitcoin and blockchain technology. They may work in various roles such as consultants, developers, traders, or educators, helping organizations and individuals understand, use, and implement Bitcoin solutions. Their responsibilities often include advising on security, compliance, investment, and technical development related to Bitcoin. Becoming a Bitcoin Professional typically involves gaining in-depth knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain mechanics, and staying updated with industry trends.

Job description

Data Center Field Technician

Advanced Crypto Services (ACS) specializes in repair and maintenance services for Bitcoin mining hardware — the machines that power the global Bitcoin network. We work with some of the largest mining operations in the industry, and our reputation is built on technical excellence and getting the job done right. As we grow, we're looking for experienced technicians who can hit the ground running and grow with us.

About the Role

As a Data Center Field Technician, you'll be a core part of our operations — performing hands-on repair, maintenance, and installation work both in our Carrollton facility and at client data center sites across the country. This role is built for someone who already knows Bitcoin mining hardware, communicates clearly under pressure, and takes ownership of their work.

This is not an entry-level position. We expect you to bring knowledge, professionalism, and a strong work ethic from day one. In return, ACS offers real growth opportunities within a fast-moving company where your contributions are visible and valued.

Field assignments may require travel to data center locations, ranging from a single day to one to two weeks.

Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of Bitcoin miners and associated equipment
  • Diagnose hardware and firmware issues using diagnostic tools and software, and determine proper solutions
  • Conduct cleaning, inspection, assembly, and disassembly of mining equipment
  • Perform and document pre- and post-repair performance testing
  • Provide clear, professional technical guidance to clients on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Communicate repair status, findings, and recommendations to both internal teams and clients in a timely manner
  • Submit accurate service reports, expense documentation, and technical feedback
  • Support warehouse operations during off-field periods
  • Handle heavy equipment safely (miners can exceed 45 lbs for extended periods)
  • Uphold ACS quality standards, SOPs, and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 1 year of provable, hands-on Bitcoin mining experience — data center operations, mining repair, or running and managing mining hardware at scale
  • Strong communication skills — you must be able to speak clearly with clients on-site, provide detailed updates to the internal team, and document your work accurately
  • Solid troubleshooting and critical thinking skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to lift 45+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
  • Comfortable with travel and flexible scheduling
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and field service workflows

Nice to Have

  • Experience with immersion-cooled mining systems
  • Familiarity with Bitmain, MicroBT, or Canaan hardware platforms
  • Prior client-facing field service experience
Compensation

Situation - Pay

Standard hourly rate - $23.00 – $25.00 / hr (based on experience)

Field day (local, no overnight) - Base pay + $50 day bonus

Travel to site (overnight or extended) - Base pay + $100 day bonus

Growth at ACS

ACS is a growing company with expanding service lines, client accounts, and internal departments. Technicians who demonstrate excellence, reliability, and leadership qualities will find real pathways to advance — whether that's into senior technical roles, team lead positions, or specialized service tracks. We promote from within and invest in people who invest in us.

Advanced Crypto Services is an equal opportunity employer.
