Summary
Our Cary, NC office has an excellent opportunity available for an experienced A/E design side Senior Project Manager to join our team. The Senior Project Manager plans and organizes all architectural and engineering functions specific to each project, coordinates interaction between project teams and clients, and provides guidance on technical resource loading. The successful candidate must have a strong design discipline background along with experience managing architectural and engineering/design projects in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical industries. This position reports directly to the Director of Project Management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the project management of large-sized projects or designated portions of projects.
  • Establish project budgets, prepare proposals, and develop and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Develop and maintain project resource plans.
  • Develop and successfully manage project execution plans including definition of scope, schedule, communication tools, software tools, deliverable distribution lists.
  • Proactively report and present project status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Successfully manage changes on projects.
  • Collaborate with the regional quality manager in the development of project specific quality plans.
  • Properly identify and assess project risks and escalate to senior leadership as appropriate.
  • Create and meet all project milestones and financial commitments.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering or architecture.
  • Minimum of 10 years in the Life Sciences industry with a minimum of 8 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Experience in the design of biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and laboratories.
  • Strong attention to detail and possess excellent written and communication skills, be well organized, engaged, flexible and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional, multi-discipline teams Proficiency in standard PM tools and templates.
  • Software Skills should include Microsoft Office Suite and Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Project, and Video Conferencing Software, along with other applicable project management software applications.
