Controller (Temporary - Up to 1 Year Assignment)

We are seeking a Controller (Temporary - Up to 1 Year Assignment) to play a key role in leading our accounting operations and ensuring financial integrity during a defined assignment period. This role is designed for an experienced accounting leader who can oversee financial processes, ensure compliance, and deliver accurate, timely financial insights that support business decision-making.
To Be Considered for This Position, Candidates Must Have the Following Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
Experience: 5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ability to implement compliant accounting systems and procedures
• Experience leading accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and general accounting
• Demonstrated ability to manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Preferred: CPA certification

What You'll Do
Accounting Operations and Leadership
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department, including AP, AR, cost accounting, and general accounting
• Supervise and develop accounting staff while ensuring high performance and accountability
• Ensure consistency and effectiveness of accounting practices across the organization, including subsidiary operations
Financial Reporting and Analysis
• Deliver accurate and timely financial statements and reports to leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders
• Develop and analyze financial metrics, profitability, and margin insights to support decision-making
• Provide financial analysis for capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Performance Management
• Lead the development and management of annual budgets and forecasts
• Monitor performance against budget, analyze variances, and communicate key insights to leadership
• Establish benchmarks and reporting frameworks to measure operational performance
Compliance, Systems, and Audit
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and reporting requirements at all levels
• Oversee accounting systems and processes, including cash flow, fixed assets, and transaction processing
• Coordinate audits and provide required documentation to external auditors
• Monitor debt compliance and support financial governance standards
