Job description

Ecolab, Bioprocessing is looking for a Business Development Sales Manager to uncover new opportunities for sales of Purolite chromatography resins within the bioprocessing space. You will be responsible for prospecting and nurturing leads within your assigned territory, leveraging your exceptional communication and research skills to identify new sales opportunities. Your key objective is to qualify prospects through discovery calls, ensuring that they align with our target customer criteria, including sampling where appropriate. Once qualified, you will partner with your dedicated Sales Manager in order to further develop these relationships toward evaluation and closing new business opportunities.
Your role is instrumental in the expansion of Ecolab Bioprocessing's customer base and the overall growth of our organization.
The Business Development Sales Representative will work in collaboration with multiple Account Managers to drive new growth opportunities supporting not only the growth of our Bioprocessing segment but also enabling our clients to develop medicines that improve the lives of their patients.

What Will You Do:
  • Research, identify and qualify pharmaceutical and biotech companies within the specified territory that are a fit for the Bioprocessing portfolio of Purolite resins.
  • Drive outbound prospecting through calls, email, LinkedIn, and light cold calling to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Engage potential customers via social media and email campaigns to expand the Purolite resins sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Sales Operations to refine molecule (mAb) information and monitor updates as prospective biotech companies advance their programs through clinical trials.
  • Achieve weekly and monthly goals for outreach, meetings, and pipeline creation
  • Follow up with inquiries from tradeshows, webinars, marketing qualified leads to further drive the development of new sales opportunities
  • Maintain accurate sales opportunity activity and pipeline data in CRM
  • Co-ordinate the establishment of CDAs with new clients and Ecolab Life Sciences - Bioprocessing.
  • Work cooperatively with Marketing to develop promotional campaigns and messaging to build brand awareness for Purolite resins.
  • Leads, updates and maintains all relevant activities in the client database for the assigned territory to ensure its data is accurate and current.
  • Will be responsible to generate leads and sales on new business as defined

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of lead-generation or sales-development experience in the life sciences industry
  • Regular travel in defined territory (anticipated to be up to 50%)
  • Experience working in the Bioprocessing industry
  • Previous experience working with or selling chromatography resins or within a downstream bioprocessing setting

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals; chemistry/biochemistry or biology
  • 6 years of lead-generation or sales-development experience in the life sciences industry
  • Strong understanding of mammalian cell culture for antibody production
  • Strong Prospecting skills and aptitude for sales. Previous specialized sales training including demonstration/presentation skills
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator lead generation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Highly driven, self-motivated, and collaborative
  • Ability to qualify sales leads and communicate pertinent customer and sales opportunity information to provide a seamless handoff to field sales counterparts
  • Experience with Zoho, Salesforce or similar CRM platform
  • Passionate desire to move up within a sales organization

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The total Compensation range for this position is $126,900-$190,200 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
