Job description

Job Title: Technical Writer
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Location: Northridge, CA / Remote
Shift: 1st Shift

Responsibilities:
  • Create, edit, and maintain technical documents, manuals, work instructions, and procedures.
  • Review and update documentation to reflect product and process changes.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Organize technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation.
  • Ensure documents comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support document control, version management, and revision activities.
  • Proofread documents for grammar, formatting, consistency, and technical accuracy.
  • Prepare patient-facing and medical device documentation when required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience writing technical or patient-facing documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the medical device or regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of document control and quality management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong editing, proofreading, and technical writing skills.
