As a member of the DTS team, our Software Dev Engineer Vs are responsible for building, securing, and maintaining a multi-cloud platform that hosts business applications and services, spanning infrastructure, security, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling. The engineer collaborates closely with architects and software developers to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality, and secure cloud-based solutions - all in service of making our members' health journeys easier.

What You Bring to Cambia:

Qualifications:

  • Software Dev Engineer V would have a bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related field and 10 - 12 years of experience developing tools in support of production environments or equivalent combination of education and experience. List any required licenses or certifications here.

Certifications

  • Recommended (not required) technical certifications for one or more of the following:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - (Associate / Professional)

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - (Associate / Professional)

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - (Associate / Professional)

  • AWS Certified Developer - (Associate / Professional)

Skills and Attributes:

  • Vendor Management (FinOps reporting, POC, Cost benefit analysis, Product roadmap analysis and feedback)

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements, and develop alternate solutions.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal savvy, relates well to all kinds of people in the organization regardless of level, establishes trust and constructive relationships.

  • Experience leading the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications/systems using proven or emerging technologies and environments.

What You Will Do at Cambia:

  • Plan, implement, and maintain secure, highly available cloud infrastructure using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes-based container management platforms

  • Build, operate, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling while automating operational processes in compliance with security standards

  • Ensure platform infrastructure and designs adhere to corporate security policies, Service Level Agreements, and current best practice documentation

  • Lead the team in evaluating emerging trends and technologies, incorporating relevant advancements to drive continuous improvement

  • Develop efficient solutions to complex business problems while providing direction, guidance, and mentoring to team members

  • Collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, and application architects, as well as software engineers across the full development lifecycle

  • Contribute to peer code reviews and work both independently and as part of a project team

  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation to ensure platform reliability and uptime

The expected hiring range for the Software Dev Engineer V is $179,400 - $242,000 depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target for this position is 15%. The current full salary range for this role is $168,000 - $275,000.#LI-hybrid
