We are presently seeking a Quality Engineer that be responsible for coordinating customer quality assurance requirements into company quality management processes and deliverables. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead others in developing a culture of collaboration, compliance, and respect.
  • Collaborate within and across departments to improve the integrated management system (IMS).
  • Demonstrate leadership and judgement in the development of quality planning for products and manufacturing processes, including in new product introduction (NPI).
  • Lead cross functional teams in the development of systems and solutions to improve internal quality.
  • Lead the development of failure modes and effects analyses, and the design of improvements to address high risk priority numbers.
  • Perform measurement systems analyses and use the results to design improvements.
  • Lead root cause analysis of quality problems in manufacturing.
  • Manage the customer complaint process, prepare corrective actions, drive successful implementation, and update the customer on progress and outcomes.
  • Drive projects to improve supplier quality.
  • Serve as lead auditor for compliance with ISO 9001, both internally and onsite at our suppliers.
  • Other duties as assgined

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of science in math, engineering, physical science, or a minimum of 7 years' experience as a QE.
  • Experienced quality engineer in technical manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the listed duties and responsibilities and to mentor others in the same.
  • Experience managing business-to-business customer relationships.
  • Qualified lead auditor ISO 9001 preferreed.
  • Strong background in statistics and SPC preferred.
  • Knowledge of materials science & surface characterization preferred.
  • Data mining via SQL query and Power BI preferred.

Pay Range:  $73,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
