Job description

At Excelitas IMS division, we engineer diverse, high-quality materials to meet the customers' unique challenges.
  • High-quality Scintillation materials with superior resolution and advanced photo-sensor integration for ionizing radiation detection: Alpha, Beta, Neutrons, Gamma Rays, X-rays.
  • High-strength Industrial Sapphire, one of the hardest materials in existence, has properties to withstand extreme conditions such as high-temperature, high-pressure or harsh chemicals.
  • High-quality X-ray Analyzers for Synchrotrons and Garnets used to grow semiconductor crystal layers.

The Electrical Engineering Co-Op will engage in process, test, and design engineering functions.
The incumbent will be responsible for assembling new prototype electronics test fixtures, running tests and compiling data, writing technical reports, developing test procedures, and completing additional responsibilities and projects as the individual develops in the position through their semester rotations.
This position is for Fall 2026. This position is located in the Hiram, OH facility. The ability to work 100% on-site is required.
Requirements
  • The Electrical Engineering co-op must be working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering
  • No relocation or room/board assistance.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
  • Requires U.S. work authorization without time restriction
