Job Summary:

Monitors and coordinates the activities of and provides support and assistance to assigned biology laboratories to enable effective and safe lab operations.

Job Duties:

  • Assists full-time Lab Staff with preparing all materials and equipment for lab exercises.

  • Maintains the organization, cleanliness and security of the biology lab stockrooms, prep areas and adjoining labs.

  • This part-time position will not exceed 29 hours of work in a week.

  • The position requires flexibility in the work schedule from term to

  • term to fulfill the needs of the department.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma is required or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed Organic Chemistry I and Chemistry II and have attained at least junior status at a local university or college (i.e., completed associates degree).

  • Good knowledge of basic biology lab procedures and safety protocols.
