Summary:
  • The BIM Designer’s main responsibility is to produce high-quality BIM models and shop drawings for use in precast manufacturing and construction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Understand precast design and detailing
  • Use BIM modeling software to model and detail precast components
  • Produce precast shop drawings for approval and fabrication
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop building designs
  • Work with an in-house team of project managers and project engineers following company standard processes
  • Check precast shop drawings for conformance with contract drawings and specifications
  • Help create and improve BIM standards
Skills:
  • Proficiency with Revit, Tekla, or other BIM software
  • Work within a small team structure, alongside multiple teams across various departments
  • Read and understand shop drawings
  • Identify and solve construction issues effectively
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong CAD and/or BIM skills required
  • Ability to take charge, pursue excellence, and work with a high-performing team
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience detailing precast, concrete, or steel
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and AutoCAD preferred
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00

This is a full-time career with Northeast Precast. The days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM.
