Job Title: Billing Coordinator
Location: Houston, TX
Overview:
Partnering with a well-established law firm in Houston that is looking to add a Billing Coordinator to their accounting team. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is ideal for someone with strong law firm billing experience who can manage billing processes, support attorneys, and ensure accuracy across billing activities.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of billing experience within a mid-size or large law firm
  • Experience with Aderant or similar legal billing software
  • Strong understanding of monthly billing cycles, edits, and corrections
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with attorneys and internal stakeholders
  • Comfortable analyzing billing data and responding to inquiries
Responsibilities:
  • Review and edit proformas and invoices for accuracy
  • Generate and distribute client invoices in a timely manner
  • Maintain billing data including rates, client, and matter details in the system
  • Assist with new matter setup and updates to existing records
  • Run internal conflict checks and escalate issues as needed
  • Generate and analyze billing reports
  • Respond to billing-related questions and resolve discrepancies
