Job Description for Billing Assistant (Entry-Level):

Delta Home Care is seeking a Billing Assistant to join our team. This is an entry-level position, and training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets, as these are essential tools used in the billing process.

As a Billing Assistant, you will be trained on our software systems and processes. You will use our systems to review and verify employee time records, helping ensure accurate billing by identifying what services should and should not be billed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify time and attendance information for billing purposes.

  • Utilize company software systems to confirm billable and non-billable services.

  • Enter, update, and maintain billing-related data accurately.

  • Work with spreadsheets and Excel reports to track and reconcile information.

  • Assisting in the billing department with time-sheets, claims, reports, and other clerical items

  • Accounts Receivable

  • EOB's

  • Medical Collections

  • Reconciling reports

  • EVV Billing

  • Employee Follow up

  • Communication between multiple parties

  • Assist with preparing billing documentation and Weekly Financial Reports.

  • Communicate with staff and supervisors regarding missing or incorrect information.

  • Maintain organized and accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • Hard worker

  • Basic computer skills required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets strongly preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to learn new software systems and processes.
