Restaurant General Manager – Pizza Restaurant
Location: Nanuet, NY
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant General Manager to lead operations for a high-volume pizza restaurant in Nanuet, NY. The ideal candidate must have strong pizza industry experience, hands-on dough knowledge, and the leadership skills to manage daily restaurant operations while maintaining exceptional food quality and customer service.
Responsibilities
Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, including kitchen, front-of-house, staffing, scheduling, and inventory
Ensure consistent execution of pizza recipes, dough preparation, fermentation, and quality standards
Manage and train staff on operational procedures, food safety, and customer service expectations
Monitor dough production, hydration/saturation levels, proofing, and fermentation processes
Maintain labor and food cost controls while maximizing profitability
Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of team members
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Resolve customer concerns professionally and maintain a positive dining experience
Work closely with ownership to improve systems, efficiency, and overall restaurant performance
Maintain vendor relationships and oversee ordering/inventory management
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience
MUST have pizza restaurant experience
Strong knowledge of pizza dough production, including dough saturation/hydration, fermentation, proofing, and handling
Experience managing high-volume kitchen operations
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NY-style pizza operations
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
POS and inventory management experience preferred
