Front Desk Receptionist - Urgent Care (Bilingual Chinese)

Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00 / hour
Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, full-time, Front Desk to assist our Los Angeles Urgent Care Centers. We are looking for someone fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin. This role will report to the Office Manager and enable us to continue to scale in the healthcare industry.
This role requires cross-coverage is across our multiple urgent care locations throughout Los Angeles.

What You'll Do
  • Greet people entering the office, answering questions, providing directions and instructions on the check-in procedure.
  • Manage a multiple-line phone system by addressing caller concerns, routing callers to the appropriate extensions, and leaving messages for the healthcare providers.
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via telephone/email.
  • Maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and free of clutter.
  • Submit treatment authorization requests.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills in a fast-pace environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to prioritize workload while remaining flexible.
  • May be required to work overtime to meet tight deadlines
  • Highly motivated and able to work with multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) required.
  • Prior experience in a medical front desk or healthcare administrative role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Our organization follows an in-person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a daily basis. Cross-coverage is required across all clinic locations. The clinic locations include: 101 Wheeler Ave, Suite B, Arcadia, CA 91006; 18605E. Gale Ave. #168, City of Industry, CA 91748; 120 W. Hellman Ave Suite 101, Monterey Park, CA 91754; 3564 Santa Anita Ave., Unit A, El Monte, CA 91731.
  • The clinic hours are Monday-Friday 9:00am-9:00pm, and Saturday-Sunday 9:00am-5:00pm. This is a full-time position and requires 66-80 hours per biweekly pay period, with the expectation to work one weekend per pay period. Weekday shifts are 12 hours and weekend shifts are 8 hours.
  • The national target pay range for this role is $21 - $24 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
