Overview:
Ainsworth Inc is currently searching for a highly skilled and accomplished Account Executive, focused on Building Automation Systems (BAS). Along with experience in BAS sales and service, the ideal candidate will possess a wealth of knowledge in mechanical and HVAC systems, and strategic multi-discipline, multi-trade sales. We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven individual who is committed to achieving growth targets and driving market share expansion. This role requires a high level of expertise in sales, including the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales activities focused on contractor and consulting engineer relationships and professional selling skills
  • Scope development and specification writing
  • Review bid requests, plans and specifications, etc. to qualifyprojects for appropriate action
  • Develop value-engineered alternatives for client's consideration.
  • Maintain bid lists and CRM entries accurately with timely updatesto the sales funnel for reporting to the Sales Manager and corporate office.
  • Maintain mechanical contractors, electrical contractors and consulting engineers contact list in CRM
  • Handle bid requests and query for project details
  • Assist estimators by reviewing formal client proposals, system sketches and point lists with attention to scope detail as specified
  • Assist with the preparation of technical proposals and prequalification forms
Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in the Building Automation System industry
  • Mechanical engineer or electrical engineering degree preferred
  • Technical degree or associates degree in a related field will be considered
  • Individuals with HVAC or electrical contracting sales and associated experience are welcome to apply
  • Entry-level candidates will be considered on an individual basis
  • Proven history of sales activities focused on contractor and consulting engineer relationships and professional selling skills
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with scope development and specification writing
  • Must have working knowledge of all typical computer programs used in this work environment such as MS Office, Vista and/or Windows 7 (MS Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook), Blue Beam software a plus.
  • Valid driver's license
