Job Summaryย 

The Financial Analyst โ€“ Construction provides in-depth financial analysis for Prime Group's construction and development projects, with a focus on evaluating financial performance, rates of return, working capital, and investment performance throughout the construction lifecycle. This role plays a key part in helping the organization make informed, data-driven decisions on active and upcoming construction ventures.ย 

What You'll Doย 

Including but not limited to:ย 

  • Analyze actual construction project performance against financial forecasts and budgetsย 

  • Collaborate with Operations and Construction teams on business strategy, pricing, and contract reviewsย 

  • Assess the financial performance of construction assets, both current and futureย 

  • Prepare proformas and conduct financial analysis for new and ongoing construction projectsย 

  • Conduct due diligence for new construction projects and provide investor and bank reportsย 

  • Review Capital Expenditure requests for ROI and cash paybackย 

  • Track and analyze construction draw schedules, budgets, and cost variancesย 

  • Prepare internal financial reports for leadershipย 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and evaluate cost-saving proposals from Operationsย 

  • Perform additional duties as requiredย 

What You Bringย 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)ย 

  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within construction or real estateย 

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and financial/accounting systems (e.g., Sage 300)ย 

  • Ability to interpret business documents, write clear reports, and present information effectivelyย 

  • Strong math skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and probabilityย 

  • Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and manage diverse issuesย 

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skillsย 

  • Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environmentย
