Job Title: Bid ManagerJob Description
The Bid Manager leads, manages, and supports the development of integrated, enterprise-wide sales proposals and initiatives. This role oversees the complete lifecycle of RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, deadline-driven proposals that support business growth.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and support the development of integrated, enterprise-wide sales proposals and initiatives for clients and prospects.
  • Oversee all activities involved in drafting and preparing documentation for Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and Requests for Proposals (RFP), including comprehensive proposals and qualification packages.
  • Manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously and ensure all submissions meet customer-designated bid dates and requirements.
  • Collaborate with and provide leadership to the business development team and application engineering team to produce tailored proposals for clients.
  • Coordinate the development and production of proposal materials with technical staff for use in proposal submissions and executive report presentations.
  • Strategize, document, and maintain proposal pipelines within Salesforce to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of opportunities.
  • Update and enhance proposal tools using Visual Basic programs, macros, and Salesforce reports to improve efficiency and consistency in proposal development.
  • Apply estimation and bidding expertise to structure competitive and compliant proposals aligned with client expectations and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure all proposal content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand, editorial, and quality standards.
  • Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, maintaining a strong commitment to detail and timely information sharing throughout the proposal process.
  • Work flexible or non-traditional hours as needed to support the preparation and delivery of deadline-driven proposals.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in proposal management or a similar role involving RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent bid or proposal projects to strict deadlines.
  • Strong written and editorial skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and persuasive proposal content.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat for document preparation and review.
  • Experience using Salesforce to document and manage proposals and sales pipelines.
  • Ability to update and work with Visual Basic programs and macros to support proposal tools and reporting.
  • Experience with estimation and bidding processes in a sales or project-oriented environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), the energy sector, or similar technical fields is a strong plus.
