Job description

Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer (SAP BO / Power BI)

We are hiring a Senior BI Developer to lead the design and development of end-to-end data and reporting solutions. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-impact analytics across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test end-to-end BI solutions including ETL pipelines, data warehouse models, and user-facing dashboards
  • Build advanced Power BI reports and implement automation using Power Automate
  • Develop and support SAP Business Objects reporting and data solutions
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and translate requirements into technical deliverables
  • Create solution designs, project plans, and timelines with clear milestones
  • Develop unit test plans to ensure data accuracy and performance
  • Lead best practices in BI development, data modeling, and reporting standards
  • Maintain technical documentation and end-user guides
  • Support production issues and resolve BI-related problems in a timely manner
  • Stay current with BI tools and recommend improvements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in IT with a focus on Business Intelligence or data engineering
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Data Services and SAP Business Objects
  • 3+ years of experience with Power BI and Power Automate
Technical Skills
  • Strong Power BI dashboard development and data visualization experience
  • Experience building automation workflows using Power Automate
  • SAP BO tools: Web Intelligence, Universe Designer, Information Design Tool
  • Experience with BO upgrades and UNV to UNX conversion is a plus
  • SAP BI administration (CMC, Data Services Admin Console)
  • Strong understanding of data modeling including 3NF, star schema, and snowflake schema
  • Experience with relational databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Sybase
  • ETL pipeline development (batch and near real-time jobs)
  • Advanced SQL and strong data engineering skills
  • Experience with GitLab or Subversion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Azure and/or Databricks
