Job description

Power BI Developer (Contract) – Job Summary

We are seeking a Power BI Developer to support analytics and reporting initiatives within a manufacturing and repair operations environment. This role focuses on designing and developing Power BI dashboards, building SQL-based data models, and delivering actionable insights for engineering, operations, and quality teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain Power BI semantic models using star-schema architecture
  • Develop production-ready dashboards and reports for operational, engineering, and quality metrics
  • Create and maintain DAX calculations, measures, and business logic
  • Write SQL queries to transform and prepare data from enterprise data lake sources
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into reporting solutions
  • Support Power Automate workflows for scheduled report distribution and notifications
  • Assist with basic SharePoint list maintenance for reporting processes
  • Document datasets, model relationships, calculations, and reporting logic


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in Power BI development and business intelligence reporting
  • Strong experience with Power BI, DAX, semantic modeling, and star-schema design
  • Intermediate SQL skills including joins, CTEs, filters, and data transformation
  • Experience developing dashboards for manufacturing, engineering, or operational environments
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills


Preferred Qualifications
