Job description

Our customer is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst for a 6-month contract-to-hire role focused on data pipeline testing, documentation, and collaboration across data engineering and BI teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL and SSIS, and a strong ability to identify and resolve data quality issues. 

Description

• Development (65%)

65% of the employee's time is spent in the design, development, documentation, analysis,

creation, testing, or modification of computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based

on and related to user or system design specifications.

Convert business logic and goals into query logic and dashboard content.

Create, update, and test intuitive dashboard content.

Create, update, and test data queries and extracts.

Communication/Documentation: (20%)

20% of the employee's time is spent in the design, documentation, testing, creation, or

modification of computer programs related to machine operating systems.

Develop partnerships with stakeholders to understand business needs and how they relate to

available data.

Collaborate with stakeholders to provide support, capture requirements, suggest KPI and layout

options.

Collaborate with teammates to cross-train and pair on development tasks.

Maintain records of business requirements and development activities.

• Maintenance: (5%)

Provide technical support for BI content.

Identify opportunities to scale and improve BI content.

• Data Governance and Stewardship: (5%)

Ensure consistency of definitions and lineage across BI content.
