Job description

Premier Project Management provides design, procurement, engineering development and project management services to hotels. This includes implementing the majority of capital improvements for properties owned by Ashford Hospitality Trust (NYSE: AHT) and Braemar Hotels and Resorts (NYSE: BHR), and other hotel ownership groups.

As a member of the Architectural team, you should possess technical expertise as it relates to architectural documentation, detailing, and constructability for renovations and new construction. You will be accountable for deadlines and completeness of work in a collaborative, yet self-reliant manner, while keeping your team abreast of decisions and status of the project.The individual in this position will have the opportunity to work with multiple brands and will be responsible for the construction documentation of renovation and new construction projects for both select and full-service hotels, multi-family, student housing and mixed-use clients. As a member of the Architectural team, you should meet the requirements as outlined below.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist project architects in various stages of project design, permitting and contract administration.
  • Assist project architects with all aspects of construction document production. Includes file naming protocols, project setup in AutoCAD and/or Revit, adherence to layering conventions, and line weights.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of construction document standards. Collaborate and coordinate with team members to prepare integrated contract drawings for bidding, permit, and construction.
  • Work collaboratively with the Interior designers and consultants to develop the construction documents from the inception to construction completion.
  • Possess a working knowledge of standard techniques, principles and practices of the profession and related fields.
  • Prepare contract documents from the Schematic Design Phase through Contract Administration, keeping track of the drawings to ensure the design intent is achieved.
  • Assist in the coordination with various consultants.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility requirements and modifications required to meet codes.
  • Possess the ability to produce multiple projects from start to finish in different phases of design.
