DescriptionPosition Summary:

The Utility Fill-In Rover is a flexible, multi-purpose production role responsible for supporting daily sawmill operations by filling in at various positions as needed. This position primarily assists in sorting, handling, and processing (fresh cut) lumber while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role requires adaptability, physical endurance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Rotate through the line and related areas to support production needs
  • Sort, stack, and organize lumber based on size, grade, and quality
  • Remove defective or unusable materials from the sorting line
  • Assist machine operators with setup, operation, and minor troubleshooting
  • Perform general labor duties including cleanup, debris removal, and material handling
  • Fill in for absent employees to ensure continuous workflow and minimal downtime
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
QualificationsRequirements:
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
