Beverage Steward - Rivers Casino Pittsburgh
Position Summary:
As a Beverage Steward at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean and efficient bar service environment. Your primary responsibility will be the removal of trash from all work areas while ensuring that glassware is clean, sanitized, and appropriately stocked in all bar venues. You will also operate industrial cleaning equipment and handle cleaning tasks to ensure the bars meet high cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all bars and bar venues have sufficient glassware to start each shift.
  • Clean and sanitize all glassware.
  • Remove trash from all work areas.
  • Operate dishwashing machines and other industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Move equipment and supplies for the food and beverage department.
  • Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness of all bars, including dishwashers, soda pump room, liquor room, beer coolers, and surrounding areas.
  • Handle and use industrial-strength cleaning chemicals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional sitting, squatting, and bending.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and visual acuity.
  • Adherence to company time and attendance policies.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • High standard of cleanliness and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays.

Certifications:
  • Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Non-Gaming License. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking and sitting
  • Regular bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching
  • Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds frequently
  • Frequent pushing of carts or equipment up to 100 lbs.
