A Little About You
You bring a unique blend of personality and professional expertise to your work, inspiring others with your passion and dedication. Your career is a testament to your diverse experiences, community involvement, and the valuable lessons you've learned along the way. You are more than just your resume; you are a reflection of your achievements, the knowledge you've gained, and the personal interests that shape who you are.
Position Overview
This role serves as a technical authority for cloud strategy and architecture. Influences enterprise-wide cloud adoption and modernization initiatives. Involves defining architectural standards, leading migration projects, and evaluating emerging technologies. Ensures that cloud solutions align with business objectives while maintaining scalability, security, and operational excellence.
Lead Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in AWS cloud services, Amazon EKS, GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, Ansible, and containerized platforms to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions. In this lead role, you will also mentor engineers, establish platform standards and best practices, and build the golden paths that enable teams to deliver quickly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable platform solutions using AWS services with a strong focus on EKS and containerization.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK, enabling fully automated and repeatable cloud provisioning.
  • Design and maintain golden paths and reusable platform building blocks (IaC modules, pipeline templates, and starter repositories) that give teams a secure, production-ready foundation by default.
  • Treat the platform as a product, reducing developer cognitive load and removing friction across build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, leveraging YAML and PowerShell scripting to drive automation.
  • Manage and maintain GitHub repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, and release workflows.
  • Administer and integrate JFrog Artifactory for artifact management, package repositories, and container image storage.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using Ansible.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize workloads across AWS and Azure, including Windows Services and .NET-based applications.
  • Partner with application teams to migrate workloads from on-premises to the cloud, driving modernization through replatforming, containerization, and adoption of managed cloud services.
  • Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including secure networking, IAM, secret management, and compliance controls.
  • Integrate application and security scanning tools such as Veracode and Wiz into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous security validation.
  • Drive DevOps automation best practices, improving deployment reliability, observability, and operational efficiency.
  • Define, track, and report on platform KPIs (reliability, adoption, delivery performance, and cost) for engineering leadership through dashboards and regular reporting.
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level DevOps engineers through pairing, code reviews, and hands-on technical guidance.
  • Set and document platform engineering standards and best practices, and lead their adoption across teams.
  • Lead technical design decisions and drive cross-team alignment through architecture decision records and design reviews.
  • Lead incident response and blameless postmortems, translating findings into durable platform improvements.
  • Develop clear documentation, runbooks, and self-service tooling to enable teams to operate independently.
  • Collaborate closely with development, security, and architecture teams to streamline delivery workflows and enhance platform reliability.
  • Utilize AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, and similar platforms to improve engineering productivity, accelerate delivery, and enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services, including EKS, IAM, VPC, EC2, and related managed services.
  • Proven multi-cloud experience operating and optimizing production workloads across both AWS and Azure.
  • Proven experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in production environments.
  • Expertise in CDK workflows, CI/CD pipeline engineering using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
  • Experience with GitHub repository management, branching strategies, and DevOps workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with JFrog Artifactory for artifact lifecycle management and container registries.
  • Strong experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
  • Solid scripting skills in PowerShell and experience authoring YAML-based workflows.
  • Experience deploying and supporting Windows-based and .NET workloads in cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, including automated security scanning and compliance.
  • Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, and similar platforms to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Proven experience mentoring and developing engineers and strengthening the technical capabilities of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing engineering standards, best practices, and golden paths adopted across multiple teams.
  • Experience defining and reporting platform and DevOps KPIs to leadership, including building dashboards that support data-informed decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to engineers and leadership.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to AI/ML platform services and developer productivity tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization, and monitoring expertise.
  • Experience building or operating an internal developer platform or portal (for example, Backstage).
  • Experience with GitOps and progressive delivery tools such as Argo CD and Helm.
  • Experience with FinOps and cloud cost management.
