Job description

Office Manager

The best office managers keep the whole company's to-do list, and nothing on it slips.

Our UK-based client is hiring an Office Manager to run the administrative core of their business remotely. This is a full-time, fully remote position for a South African professional who brings calm, order and follow-through to everything they touch. You will own the systems, schedules and processes that let the rest of the team focus on their actual jobs.

Our client is a well-run UK company that has grown to the point where informal coordination no longer cuts it. They want a capable owner for the operational admin of the business: someone who sees what needs doing without being asked and closes loops without being chased. You will work directly with the leadership team and touch almost every part of the company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own day-to-day administration: scheduling, documentation, records and internal systems
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas and follow-up actions so decisions actually get executed
  • Manage supplier relationships, renewals, subscriptions and company accounts administration
  • Maintain and improve internal processes, templates and shared workspaces
  • Support HR administration: onboarding paperwork, leave tracking and policy documentation
  • Handle correspondence and queries professionally, routing what you cannot resolve

Your day moves between the scheduled and the unexpected. You will keep calendars accurate and meetings prepared, process documents and approvals, chase the actions agreed last week, and keep shared drives so organised that nobody ever asks where anything is. When something new lands, a contract to file, a new starter to onboard, a supplier issue to untangle, you handle it with the quiet competence that makes you indispensable.

If you are an organised, dependable South African professional based in South Africa who wants long-term remote work with a UK employer that values proper administration, this role was written for you.
