Overview

Based in Houston, TX, The Events Company curates elevated experiences with refined elegance and meticulous attention to detail. From sophisticated corporate gatherings to exquisite weddings and exclusive social affairs, they design bespoke events that embody luxury, style, and seamless execution—transforming every occasion into something truly extraordinary.

As an Events Planner, you will be responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of high-profile events—including galas, weddings, corporate functions, and social affairs—ensuring each experience is flawlessly delivered from concept through completion. You will also manage client and vendor relationships, oversee contracts and budgets aligned with profit goals, and coordinate all event logistics, design elements, and timelines. 

 
 

Responsibilities
  • Develops, prioritizes, and implements assigned events, some of which will include Balls, Weddings, Galas, Social Events, and Corporate Events. Responsible for planning and orchestrating the event from beginning to end
  • Produce and negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with clients and preferred vendors
  • Under the supervision of SVP/COO, compiles event cost estimates and submits to client for approval, tracks budget statistics, prepares event files, and produces management reports
  • Completes necessary documents, including contracts, deposits, and correspondence
  • Develops Estimate of Cost for the client staying within the allowed budget, while ensuring that the event meets The Events Company's target profit margins
  • Works with Third Party Vendors to deliver necessary information and invoices to the Accounting Department for payment.
  • Assists in the creation and execution of the theme and space layout of events
  • Reviews with the Warehouse Manager; staging, staffing, transportation, delivery, set-up arrangements, and breakdown of props, décor, and supplies for each event
  • Set up client meetings and event schedules, organize materials, review itineraries, and books third party services
  • Coordinates services for client needs regarding invitations, signage, programs, graphics, entertainment, etc., within the event budget
  • Required to be on-site for the set-up of the event to ensure that each element of the event is executed as sold to the client
  • Determines appropriate responses to problems and emergencies to ensure the event is a success
  • Provides project status updates to the Senior Operations Director
  • Provides weekly updates of the event calendar
  • Develops a detailed timeline for each event to ensure that all pertinent information is distributed to necessary departments/vendors, etc.
  • Submits final billing to client and accounting department within 5 days of completion of event

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end/luxury event planning with an event budgets of $250K+
  • College Degree Preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and Google Sheets.
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and Holidays as business dictates.
