Job description

Skyline Chili has been a key community contributor in the Cincinnati area for almost 75 years and we are just getting started! Not only can you find us in your local neighborhoods, we are also the official chili of the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, FC Cincinnati, Cincinnati Zoo, University of Cincinnati, Xavier University and more!

With new ownership, we are starting our next chapter, and we are looking for Skyline fans to join our team!

As a Shift Leader with Skyline, you will:
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment is maintained by following Skyline policy and procedures.
  • Trains, monitors and reinforces food safety procedures to Team Members. Ensures all company food safety procedures are followed. Complies with all health/sanitation regulations.
  • Leads and demonstrates Skyline Time service and ensures all employees provide this level of hospitality.
  • Supervises Team Members and prepares food to ensure quality products are served to our guests. Follow up with Team Members regarding food preparation and Company procedure to minimize food costs.
  • Monitors labor usage against sales and acts when necessary.
  • Executes, trains and monitors proper cash control procedures.
  • Ensures proper training for Team Members through established training systems. Provides ongoing coaching to Team Members.
  • Performs all functions of a production employee when needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned or required.
Work Requirements & Physical Demands
  • Able to work a variety of schedules in accordance with business needs and customary scheduling requirements.
  • May be required to transfer from one location to another as business needs dictate.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending and stooping.
  • Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lb. cases, spaghetti lugs, bus tubs, trash cans, and any other item up to that weight.
  • Able to effectively and safely use kitchen equipment.
  • Possess basic math and computer skills.
  • Displays professional and appropriate image and appearance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 1 or more years of restaurant or supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
