About The Benefits Boss

The Benefits Boss is a fully remote health and life insurance agency serving individuals and families in all 50 states, with 1,000+ five-star client reviews. We run a structured, performance-driven sales floor: consistent lead flow, a proven script, hands-on coaching, and full support infrastructure.

What you'll do

You start as an appointment setter: your first days are spent booking appointments for our closers, learning the leads and the conversations. While you book, you complete our 2-week training program. Once you complete training, you book your own appointments and close them yourself, running structured phone and screen-share consultations and enrolling clients in the right coverage. Setting is not a detour; it's how you learn the client before you close the client.

What we provide

  • Leads and booked appointments at no upfront cost; you pay nothing until you close
  • A proven sales framework and daily coaching
  • Dialer, CRM, appointment setters, and back-office support
  • Contracts with 26+ carriers across health, life, and supplemental products

Compensation

1099, commission-based, uncapped, with residual income on active policies.

  • Setter phase: you earn a setter's fee for every appointment you book that closes.
  • After training: you move to our structured draw model, based on a points program, plus full commissions on your own closes.
  • Typical first-year range is $40K to $80K for consistent agents. Established full-time producers earn $8,000 to $15,000/month, and top producers exceed $20,000/month.
  • There is no salary or hourly wage.

What we expect

  • Full-time availability with structured call blocks six days per week, starting day one as a setter
  • Completion of training and a recorded pitch assessment before closing your own appointments

Licensing

An active health or life license (any state) is preferred, but not required to apply. Not licensed yet? You can still apply, but you'll need your home state license before training begins (most people complete it in 1 to 3 weeks). We also have systems in place to help you get your future state licenses faster for those who do not yet have the 5-10 state licenses needed for the sales stage of training.

Tech requirements

Intel i5 processor or better, 16GB RAM, reliable internet (wired ethernet preferred; strong Wi-Fi or a USB internet dongle also acceptable), and comfort screen-sharing while working multiple tabs on a live call.

Next steps

Qualified applicants receive a link to book a group overview session, followed by a one-on-one interview for selected candidates.

Requirements

Active health or life insurance license preferred; unlicensed applicants accepted but must obtain their home state license before training begins. Tech: Intel i5+, 16GB RAM, reliable internet (wired ethernet preferred, strong Wi-Fi or USB internet dongle acceptable).

Benefits

Uncapped commission with residual income. Leads provided at no upfront cost.
