Job description

Nextep's strategic benefit specialists contribute to Nextep's benefit plan growth and success by reviewing and analyzing potential Nextep clients. This position works with the sales team and third-party underwriting partners to provide pricing recommendations and strategic benefit solutions to both existing and prospective Nextep clients.

About the role:

  • As Nextep's resident subject matter expert on our benefit plan offerings, you'll be working closely with our prospects and clients to educate them about our strategic benefit solutions.
  • Ideally, you're solutions-oriented, because this role works on complex plan design inquiries to make plan recommendations to business leaders.ย 
  • Assist in the sales process for prospective Nextep clients to ensure the best value and benefits to fit their needs.
  • You'll work with many different people including our sales team, benefits team, clients, and prospects, so communication is key to success in this position.

Requirements

About you:

  • You have at least three years of progressive benefits experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You have direct work experience with benefit design, analysis & administration, with a multi-state and 2,000+ employee benefits-eligible population.
  • You have a general knowledge of HRIS Payroll Systems.
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
