HR Compliance & Benefits Assistant

Location: Williams Center – Tucson, AZ 

Pay: $22.00/hour 

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM 

Work Setting: 100% In-Office – No Remote or Hybrid

Dependable Health Services is seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented HR Compliance & Benefits Assistant to join our corporate HR team in Tucson.

This is a great opportunity for someone who values accuracy, confidentiality, and follow-through and wants to grow their career in Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and audit confidential employee personnel files

  • Track employee credentials, compliance requirements, and expiration dates

  • Run compliance reports and follow up on missing or expiring documentation

  • Conduct and document required reference checks for new hires

  • Scan and maintain terminated employee files in our electronic database

  • Assist with monthly benefits and payroll reconciliation

  • Compare Employee Navigator enrollment information with payroll deductions

  • Assist with reconciling health, disability, life insurance, and other benefit invoices

  • Identify discrepancies and assist with corrections

  • Support the HR team with additional projects and administrative duties

What We're Looking For
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and electronic records

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable conducting telephone reference checks

  • Previous HR, benefits, payroll, compliance, healthcare, or administrative experience preferred
