Job description

Summary
The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for continued sales growth of the entire Belimo product portfolio within the assigned territory, while providing exceptional support and training to Belimo customers. Belimo's primary product lines consist of Commercial HVAC Damper Actuators, Control Valves, and Sensors & Meters. The DSM builds strong relationships with Contractors and Distributors that serve the Building Automation market, while increasing preference for the Belimo brand in the assigned territory with End Users and specifying Engineers.
This position supports the Northern Califonia/Northern NV region.
What You'll Do
  • Maintain and grow existing repeat business through outstanding service, relationship building, product knowledge, and application knowledge.
  • Develop and drive new business utilizing "pull through" sales efforts with End-Users, Consulting Engineers and other non-purchasing accounts for the purpose of creating specifications and demand for Belimo products.
  • Demonstrate a value-added approach by utilizing market knowledge and planning tools.
  • Develop a proactive response to customer needs and business priorities utilizing Belimo resources and operating in a time efficient and organized manner.
  • Prepare and conduct effective sales presentations, Belimo University training programs, and Lunch & Learns to customers and respond appropriately to product application questions.
  • Become a trusted advisor and solution provider to our customers by demonstrating knowledge of products, product applications and systems including: valves, actuators, dampers, retrofits, mechanical systems, control systems and installation considerations.
  • Effectively utilize sales tools including Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Work on special committees and projects as needed
  • Effectively collaborate with other Belimo team members in developing and executing business growth strategies and serving customers.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3 Years proven track record in a similar sales / account management position or successful completion of Belimo's District Sales Manager Trainee Program.
  • Experience in HVAC or related technical field is desired.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and account management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to efficiently structure work schedule and work independently from a home office
  • MS Excel, MS Word, MS D365 CRM, and other basic computer skills
  • Travel requirement of position is approximately 50%

The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 - $125,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 25% of an employee's annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
