Temple University's College of Liberal Arts: Psychology is searching for a Research Assistant!

Salary Range: $32,000 - $45,000
A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

Position Summary
This individual will work closely with PI/supervisor and intern research assistants in the Research in Spatial Cognition Lab to ensure smooth functioning of an active research laboratory. Studies in this lab relate to the intersection of cognitive science and geoscience education and practice. The lab's studies involve collecting questionnaires, psychometric, and behavioral data. The RA will oversee multiple research activities to include recruitment of study participants, training and supervision of undergraduate interns.  

Job Details
* This position requires the following background checks: Cash Handling and Personally Identifiable Information Background Check.
* This position is 100% On-Site.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelors in Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, or related field completed by start of position.
* Minimum of six (6) months of experience working in research setting conducting experiments with human subjects in cognitive psychology, perception, or decision making.
* An equivalent Combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience 
* Basic knowledge of Qualtrics survey-building software. 
* One or more years of experience working in a research setting conducting experiments with human subjects.
* Interest in attending graduate school
* Interest in applied cognitive science.

Required Skills and Abilities 
* Computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
* Familiarity with basic statistical tests, Qualtrics survey-building software or statistics course completion. 
* Excellent interpersonal, leadership, writing, and organizational skills.
* Ability to handle many projects at once.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Usage of Adobe suite.
