Research Assistant - Join a Mission-Driven Healthcare Team
About Us
At SSTAR, we're more than a treatment provider-we're a total health community. Our mission is simple but powerful: healing the community, one person at a time.
We deliver compassionate, whole-person care that supports the mental, physical, and spiritual well-being of everyone we serve. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we're proud to offer our employees eligibility for three loan repayment programs, helping you invest in both your career and your future.
SSTAR Research has been a department of Stanley Street Treatment and Resources since 2004. Since its inception, the Research Department has participated in numerous studies, including behavioral and pharmaceutical clinical trials, as well as other research focused on advancing the understanding and treatment of substance use. Our research partnerships provide both professional and intellectual fulfillment through the opportunity to work alongside some of the nation's leading academic researchers. Most importantly, these studies allow us to offer our patients access to cutting-edge, evidence-based treatments at no cost.

An entry-level Research Assistant position provides an invaluable foundation for individuals interested in clinical research, healthcare, and the sciences. It offers hands-on experience with research methodology, participant interaction, regulatory compliance, data collection, specimen handling, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards. These skills are highly transferable and prepare individuals for advancement into roles such as Research Coordinator, Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Medical School, Pharmacy School, Public Health, and other graduate or professional programs. Serving as a Research Assistant allows individuals to build practical experience, strengthen their resumes, develop professional networks, and gain a deeper understanding of evidence-based medicine, making it an excellent steppingstone for future educational and career opportunities.
In this research role, you'll support cutting-edge research in collaboration with highly renowned universities. Your work will directly contribute to advancing treatments for opioid use disorder and addiction medicine making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and communities.
