• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Collaborate with clients in developing tailored treatment plans that align with their individual goals and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment.
• Educate clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment alternatives, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimum therapeutic outcomes.
• Engage in integrated care by communicating and coordinating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorders to continuously enhance treatment approaches.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.
• Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the mental health space, working to destigmatize mental health issues.

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also provide vital support to vulnerable populations, including the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, helping them navigate their unique challenges and access the services they need.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish a supportive and trustful therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Empathy, sympathy, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences are essential for fostering a conducive therapeutic environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage diverse caseloads effectively.
