Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Unit

This position requires 12-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive environment. This role is offered on a per diem basis, requiring a minimum of three shifts per month.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Provide holistic patient care, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding health management strategies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Active nursing license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications as applicable.
  • Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or attestation of vaccination/declination.
  • Physical/Health Statement required upon onboarding.
  • Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam and Prime Skills Checklist.
  • Successful completion of a 10-panel drug screening.
