Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Compensation: $23.00 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician Trainer to support the development of our Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) workforce. This role is ideal for an experienced behavioral health professional who is passionate about coaching, mentoring, and ensuring new team members are equipped to provide high-quality, recovery-oriented care.
Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician Trainer is responsible for coordinating and facilitating Behavioral Health Technician onboarding, conducting competency evaluations, and supporting employee development initiatives at the facility level. This position promotes consistency in training delivery, ensures staff are prepared to provide safe and effective client care, and partners with facility leadership to strengthen workforce development.
Essential Responsibilities
- Facilitate onboarding and training for newly hired Behavioral Health Technicians.
- Coordinate training schedules, classroom sessions, and required educational resources.
- Conduct competency evaluations and skills validations to ensure staff readiness.
- Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, training completion, and competency assessments.
- Review and provide feedback on onboarding materials and training content to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain training resources, competency tools, and educational materials.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through observations, employee feedback, and surveys.
- Serve as a resource for trainees by reinforcing organizational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with facility leadership and regional training teams to identify training needs and promote standardized onboarding practices.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and organizational development activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company and employee information.
- Complete all required company and regulatory training requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience working in a residential substance use disorder treatment setting.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively coach, mentor, and support new employees.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and maintaining training documentation.
Preferred:
- Associate degree or higher.
- Previous experience facilitating training, onboarding, or employee development programs.
