Position Overview

Flores Behavioral Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative team. Key Responsibilities
  • Engage actively in community outreach initiatives designed to foster holistic wellness and strengthen relationships within birthing families.
  • Participate in regular clinical consultations and team meetings that encourage shared learning and professional development.
  • Maintain comprehensive and timely clinical documentation as required by state regulations and organizational standards.
  • Provide direct mental health services, including thorough behavioral health assessments, individual and group counseling sessions, and effective case management tailored to client needs.
  • Fulfill additional duties as needed to support program operations and enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on supporting Black birthing families, acknowledging the unique challenges they face and working to address those challenges with culturally competent care. The therapist will employ evidence-based therapeutic models to cater to varying mental health needs, ensuring that services are equitable, accessible, and sensitive to the cultural contexts of our clients.

Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
  • Current licensure in California as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect professionally with a diverse, multicultural team and clientele.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a proactive member of a collaborative team.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in providing counseling services to birthing individuals and families, particularly those from underrepresented communities.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and best practices for remote client engagement.
  • Participation in community health initiatives or similar outreach programs that aim to promote mental health awareness.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload.
