Job description

Job Summary

Seeking a caring and responsible Before School Care Aide to help supervise students during our morning care program before the start of the school day. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, welcoming, and structured environment that supports the mission of our Catholic school community and helps students start their day in a positive way.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise and engage with students during before-school care hours.

  • Welcome students as they arrive and ensure a smooth transition into the school day.

  • Assist with quiet morning activities such as reading, light games, or homework completion.

  • Monitor student behavior and ensure safety and well-being at all times.

  • Uphold and model Catholic values in interactions with students, staff, and parents.

  • Communicate effectively with the Before Care Coordinator, teachers, and parents.

  • Help prepare and organize the care space before and after use.

  • Follow school policies and procedures, including emergency and safety protocols.

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting preferred.

  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Warm, patient, and consistent in interactions with students.

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

  • Practicing Catholic preferred, but not required.
