This role is fully remote and leverages cutting-edge technology to deliver counseling services via secure telehealth platforms. You will engage with students through virtual sessions, allowing flexibility to accommodate their schedules while also mitigating barriers related to transportation or geographic limitations. As a part of our telehealth team, you will collaborate with qualified professionals and use your expertise to create impactful interventions, all while working from the comfort of your home.

• Conduct both individual and group counseling sessions with students, utilizing evidence-based techniques to address their specific needs.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies, aiding students in moments of acute emotional distress or conflict.
• Work in collaboration with educators, parents, and school staff to establish a comprehensive support system for student well-being, ensuring a cohesive approach to mental health.
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records, tracking progress and outcomes according to HIPAA guidelines and best practices.
• Design and facilitate workshops for both students and parents, promoting awareness and understanding of mental health topics.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed space during sessions, recognizing the diverse backgrounds and needs of each student.

The primary focus of this role is on children and adolescents experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, stress, and other mental health conditions. You will engage with a diverse array of students, from elementary through high school levels, each with unique backgrounds and varying degrees of life experience. Your contributions will directly impact their academic performance, social relationships, and overall emotional health.

• A bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent certification within the State of California.
• Knowledge of mental health issues, particularly as they pertain to children and adolescents.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively and maintain thorough documentation.

• At least two years of experience providing counseling services, particularly in an academic or educational setting, is preferred.
• Previous experience working with culturally diverse populations is a plus.
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling methodologies is advantageous.
