IT Support technician Tier 1

Mann Lake Ltd

Hackensack, MN • On-site

$20 - $23/hr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement, PTO

Posted 14 days ago

Job description

This position is located in Hackensack, MN

Position Summary

The IT Support Technician is the first point of contact for end-user technology support at Mann Lake Bee & Ag Supply. This on-site, entry-level role resolves common day-to-day computer and account issues, provisions and deploys new computers, and ensures all work is logged and routed through the ticketing system. Success in this role is defined by responsiveness, consistent follow-through, and clean, well-documented handoffs to senior team members when an issue requires deeper expertise.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the first point of contact for end-user IT requests—log, categorize, and route every request through the ticketing system.
  • Resolve common end-user issues: password and multi-factor authentication (MFA) resets, account lockouts, access requests, and basic Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive), printing, and peripheral support.
  • Provision, image, and deploy new computers against a standard build checklist; install and configure standard applications (Microsoft 365, RingCentral, NetSuite / RF Smart client) and enroll devices and users.
  • Provide first-touch support for NetSuite / RF Smart on known, documented issues; escalate anything beyond documented fixes.
  • Perform basic connectivity checks: confirm whether a device or router is responding and determine whether an issue is local or network-related; escalate network issues rather than attempt to resolve them.
  • Tag, track, and maintain hardware and asset inventory.
  • Follow documented procedures and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
  • Escalate to Tier 2— with proper documentation when an issue exceeds the standard runbook.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field, or equivalent hands-on experience or military technical training.
  • Foundational understanding of Windows, Microsoft 365, and general PC hardware.
  • Strong customer-service orientation with clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and log work consistently and accurately.
  • Dependable and reliable, with the ability to work on-site in Hackensack, MN.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+ certification, or actively working toward it.
  • Exposure to NetSuite / RF Smart, RingCentral, or Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Familiarity with device imaging and deployment.

BENEFITS

  • Dental,

  • Short term disability
  • HSA (health saving account) with company contribution
  • Company paid Life Insurance & Long-term disability insurance
  • 401k with company match
  • Paid time off
