Job description

Summary: Heller Nature Center is located on 97 acres of woodland, prairie and natural wetland areas with three miles of walking trails, an active apiary, nature play space and a story trail available for all to enjoy. Volunteers are essential in helping to maintain our trails and spaces. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities that meets different needs.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities may vary depending on skill and interest; but may include, trail trimming and maintenance, gardening, wander woods and Story Trail upkeep, wood chipping and beekeeping.
Requirements:
  • Self-motivated individuals who enjoy working outdoors in nature.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in a variety of conditions.
  • Ages 12 and up are welcomes.
  • Ages 8 and up with a parent/guardian.
  • Groups are welcomes.
