Job description

Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Beach Club Bartender. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service for our guests. Start date for this position is March 1, 2026.

Essential Duties:
  • Oversees the opening and closing checklists.
  • Oversees cash Handling, counting down drawers, making cash deposits.
  • Maintains inventory.
  • Initiates and maintains vendor relationships.
  • Selects and purchases liquor and other supplies.
  • Ensures bar is well-stocked and clean.
  • Creates drink specials, and drink menus.
  • Oversees all bar operations for banquets and special events.
  • Appropriately delegates tasks to staff.
  • Trains, promotes, and, when necessary, disciplines staff.
  • Uses point-of-sale tracking technology and bar and restaurant management platforms.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team to reach common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identifies, recommends, develops, and implements new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-saving initiatives.
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequently stands, walks, talks and hears.
  • Regularly uses hands, reaches with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, taste or smells.
  • Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally works in extreme heat, wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
  • Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
Certificates/Licenses:
  • ServSafe Certified (Food Manager & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
Other Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a bar manager or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of beverage and food service.
  • Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Proven experience in bar management or similar role.
  • Valid certification Basset’s and Food Handler’s card.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
