Job Summary:
The Beach Club Attendant is responsible for creating a welcoming and luxurious experience for guests at Gurney’s exclusive Beach Club. This role involves setting up and maintaining beach and pool areas, assisting guests with seating and amenities, and ensuring a clean, safe, and inviting environment. The ideal candidate is attentive, energetic, and dedicated to providing exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and break down beach chairs, umbrellas, cabanas, and lounge areas according to resort standards.
  • Greet guests warmly and assist with seating, towel service, and beach amenities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all beach and pool areas throughout the day.
  • Assist guests with beach equipment rentals (e.g., paddleboards, kayaks) and explain proper usage.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and report any safety hazards to management.
  • Provide guests with information about resort amenities, dining options, and local attractions.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests to enhance their experience.
  • Collaborate with the Beach Club team to coordinate service during peak hours and special events.
  • Support Food & Beverage service by assisting with the delivery of orders when necessary.
  • Follow all resort policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Prior hospitality, beach club, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak season availability.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, wind, humidity).
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds (chairs, umbrellas, equipment).
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and stretching required.
