Job description

Bea's Bakery is seeking a hardworking, dependable, and team oriented Assistant Baker to join our production team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced bakery environment and is willing to assist in all aspects of bakery production.
The Assistant Baker will support the baking team with daily production, preparation, organization, cleaning, and general bakery operations to help maintain the quality and consistency Bea's Bakery is know for.
Responsibilities:
- Assist bakers with daily production of pastries, cakes, cookies, breads, and other baked goods
- Prepare ingredients, scale recipes, and organize production stations
- Assist with mixing, shaping, baking, filling, decorating, storing and packaging products as needed
- Operate and maintain the dishwasher and assist in keeping bakery equipment, trays, utensils, and work areas clean and sanitized
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment and bakery areas
- Assist with loading trays, racks, and moving bakery products throughout the production
- Follow production schedules, recipes, and quality control standards
- Support the team in maintaining an efficient and organized workflow
Requirements:
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift bakery supplies/products as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule required
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Early morning and overnight availability may be required
Experience in a production bakery is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates who are eager to learn and grow in the baking industry
